2024 saw another successful junior season for the Killarney Vale AFC.

211 players pulled on a Bombers guernsey this year made up of 108 boys, 92 girls and 11 boys on permit from Wyong Lakes. In addition to this we had 49 boys and girls participate in the Auskick program.

The club fielded 11 sides, 6 boys (U9's x3, U11's x 2, U13's x1), 4 Youth Girls (U11, U13, U15 & U17) and a joint U15 boys side with Wyong Lakes.

6 sides made the finals (U9's don't have finals), 5 sides made the Grand Final with the U11 Black Boys and U15's Boys sides claiming the Premiership.

A big thank you to the Coaches, Team Managers, Medical Officers, Volunteers, Club Umpires, Parents, Families, Supporters and Players for your support in making 2024 the season it was.

Auskick

2024 saw the Bombers run a successful Auskick program under the leadership of Ben Howen. 49 boys and girls participated in the program which was run on Sunday mornings.

The 2024 program culminated with the Auskickers getting the opportunity to play at half time of the final round Cup Women's match.

Apart from the playing the game the highlight for the Auskickers was getting to run through a guard of honour made up of the senior men's players. There were plenty of "high fives" being handed out.

A big then you to Ben Howen and his team for running a magnificent Auskick program this year.

Thank you also to the parents for supporting the children.

Hope to see you all at presentation day and back in a Bombers guernsey next year

"The club is pleased with the quality of applicants who applied for the junior coaching positions and believe that those coaches appointed will do an excellent job and assist the players with both their development and enjoyment for the game." Forster said.

"The club prides itself on running an excellent junior program and we cannot see any reason why this will change in 2024 with the coaches that we have appointed" he said.

Additional coaches will be required for a number of the younger age groups once the club has determined how many teams they will field in 2024.

The club is also in negotiation with a coach for the Under 17's Boys team which will be a joint venture with Wyong Lakes. This appointment will be announced early in the New Year.

Congratulations to all appointees.
